It’s brilliant to build on my experiences at Hilti and to use them to contribute to the future of the company. Fifteen years on, Hilti is still as exciting for me as it was on day one.

Profile summary

I joined Hilti in 2002 with a backpack full of skills and experiences, including training as a carpenter and a degree in wood technology engineering. It was the perfect match for my role as product manager in Hilti’s power tools business.

These were exciting times and I got to work on some visionary projects, like bringing to market the first battery-driven circular saw with the same power and performance as a corded tool.

Four years later, I was honoured to be offered the role of y-combi hammer product management, which is somehow part of the Hilti DNA. I had a fantastic time working on strategic long-term projects, as well as renewing the entire tool fleet to get y-combis back to growth.

From a family perspective, we always wanted to experience living abroad, and it’s something I would recommend to anyone. So I was thrilled with the opportunity to move to Manchester in 2011, where I was part of the team setting up the marketing hub for northern Europe. As building construction trade manager, this meant working on the sales force competency ramp-up and segmentation. I also got the chance to lead the UK product management team for a year and a half. It was a wonderful time, which my family and I enjoyed in every way.

I’m now based in Schaan, using my expertise in product management to globally manage the gas saw portfolio, which is really quite unique.

One of my fondest memories is of our dinner to celebrate ranking in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For. It was a real celebration of what we’re about as an organization and I was lucky enough to be part of it.

Profile summary

In my nine years at Hilti, I’ve worked in several different roles across the organisation. Right now I manage the Steel Construction team in the North of England, leading a team of highly trained, passionate Account Managers to deliver added value solutions for our enthusiastic customers.

I have been lucky to enjoy a diverse career within Hilti working with colleagues from around the world, all with a shared passion to deliver high performance in a caring environment. In the time I have worked at Hilti I’ve seen the organisation grow at a rapid rate and it’s an exciting time to be at Hilti as we develop our digital and service platforms for the evolving market.

Hilti has supported me with my professional development too, helping me to combine my MBA studies with my role within the company. I’m now able to implement the leadership and business skills that I’ve developed in my MBA directly into my role as we aspire to achieve outstanding results.

Profile summary

As a 16-year-old teenager, living in a small Swiss town close to Liechtenstein, I was challenged with the following situation: starting a 3-year commercial apprenticeship at Hilti or a local bank? At that time, I knew Hilti only because of my grandfather and the red power tools and tool cases in his garage. Fortunately, my gut feeling didn’t let me down and I’ve chosen Hilti.

Looking back to the last 16 years working at Hilti, I can say without a doubt, I do not regret anything. It’s been a really exciting and interesting journey for me. Besides working for several years at our global headquarters in Liechtenstein, I was also given the opportunity to experience our local markets in New Zealand, North America and Switzerland. I’ve worked in finance, product marketing, sales, and brand & marketing communications. During my Hilti career, I’ve benefited from our flexible working model and successfully graduated from a part-time bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration in Switzerland. Also, I’ve learned a lot about other countries and cultures, met many great people, as well got to know our global organization much better. The two years in sales were fascinating and helped me to fully understand our business model, our product and service offerings and – most importantly – our customer’s challenges, paint points and needs.

In my current role as a global Brand Manager, I manage and coordinate the implementation of the defined Brand Strategy, develop, steer, and implement brand activities in the organization, as well as consult and train the markets on brand management. It’s absolutely thrilling to be part of such a great team and to strengthen and further evolve our highly valued and respected brand into its next successful era.

Profile summary

I joined Hilti as a sales person in the UK. Thirteen years later, I have progressed into a sales leadership role in the UK having spent three years at our global head office looking after our ultimate class drill driver cordless tools.

My first product launch is still one of my proudest moments. The project was for our first lithium ion drill driver. It sticks in my mind because we did what Hilti often does - we came to the market with a superior product that our customers could see the value of straight away.

The training at Hilti is fantastic. My first week at our training center in Manchester felt pretty intense, as we were taught the breadth and depth of our huge product range. But what also struck me was the level of support we were given as new starters.
