Profile summary

I discovered Hilti while working on a program that develops students in their early careers, and Hilti was a key sponsor. As I got to know the company and some of its leaders, it became clear that Hilti really cares about its people, and this is what sparked my interest.

I was offered an internship in Hilti’s marketing department, where I supported the global product managers and ran an internal marketing initiative. As a mechanical engineer, this was a completely new field to me but, with the help of my team, I got along well and learned a lot about the business side of Hilti.

It was a very challenging and fascinating experience, with several projects, tasks and responsibilities to juggle - all in an international environment.

Once my internship was over, I decided to pick up my engineering again. I joined a project team working on the next generation of one of Hilti’s backbone mechanical anchors. After that, I was given the responsibility to develop another product, this time taking complete technical ownership of the project.

In 2015, I moved to the US as a technical project leader, with technical responsibility for four major projects, as well as the team task of starting up a self-sustainable development center. After three fantastic years over the ocean, I am currently leading the test engineering team in Schaan for mechanical anchors.

I really love what I’m doing, especially in such a dynamic, energetic, committed and multicultural team. Every single day, I feel rewarded for all the work we do. I also feel grateful for the opportunities, responsibilities, challenges and experiences that Hilti has given me. Looking back, I can confirm that, “yes, Hilti really cares about its people!”
